In the quiet halls of Mahtomedi High School, Britta Dosland's journey from an ambitious student to a compassionate Pediatric and Adult Anesthesiologist has been nothing short of extraordinary. Britta's commitment to her profession and her passion for making a difference in the lives of others have shaped her into an inspiring figure in the medical field.

After completing her BA in Spanish at Luther College and earning her MD from Creighton University School of Medicine, Britta embarked on a fulfilling career as a private practice anesthesiologist with Associated Anesthesiologists, PA. Her daily responsibilities extend from caring for premature infants to providing support for women in labor and ensuring the well-being of elderly patients undergoing surgery. Britta takes pride in being part of a dedicated medical team, guiding patients through the delicate journey of surgery with utmost care.

Beyond her daily work, Britta's commitment to global healthcare is evident through her participation in surgical mission trips. From the Dominican Republic to Rwanda and Mexico, Britta has brought her expertise and compassion to those in need. As she eagerly anticipates another mission trip to Guatemala in Spring 2024, Britta continues to exemplify the values of service and empathy instilled in her during her formative years.

Apart from her medical pursuits, Britta finds solace and joy in various passions and interests. A fervent traveler, she explores new landscapes and cultures, drawing inspiration from diverse experiences. Camping, backpacking, hiking, and gardening provide her with moments of tranquility amid her demanding profession.

Reflecting on her time at Mahtomedi High School, Britta emphasizes the unique access to Advanced Placement (AP) classes as a pivotal factor in her academic growth. The passionate and supportive teachers, coupled with the camaraderie that developed among classmates, prepared her for the challenges of college and beyond.

One notable project close to Britta's heart is the National Honor Society initiative to plant trees along Wildwood Road, a simple yet impactful endeavor that remains etched in her memory. It symbolizes the sense of community and pride she felt as a student, leaving a lasting legacy in her hometown.
