Bio

Geoff Weber is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in San Francisco. He works with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as with corporate clients, leading financial due diligence projects involving both public and private companies. Mr. Weber advises clients on domestic and cross-border transactions, including traditional buy-side transactions, portfolio company add-on transactions, public-to-private acquisitions, 363 asset purchases, and sell-side divestiture processes, including carve-outs of business segments. His experience encompasses a wide range of industries including business services, consumer products and services, food and beverage, manufacturing and distribution, retail, and software and technology. Mr. Weber specializes in analyzing financial statements and key business drivers in order to evaluate the quality of earnings and assess cash flows and working capital requirements, as well as critique valuation models, review purchase agreements, assess the achievability of business plan projections, and advise on accounting for mergers and acquisitions. He assists clients throughout all phases of an acquisition, from pre-deal evaluation during an auction through post-deal purchase price adjustment support. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Weber was a Director with the Transaction Services practice of KPMG LLP in Chicago, where he led financial due diligence projects for private equity and corporate investors.  Previously, Mr. Weber worked with the audit practice of KPMG LLP, where he led audit engagements for companies in a wide range of industries, including SEC registrants. Mr. Weber earned a bachelor‘s degree (cum laude) in accountancy and international business from Marquette University in Milwaukee. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
